For me, I have found it useful to occasionally record how I spend my time, using Toggl because it so easy to record at the time and then do some useful analysis by week and month. I do this about every 6 months, to keep myself accountable.
Worse, but unique
An objectively "worse" strategy can win, if it leverages something unique or unexpected. Startups can use this concept to beat incumbents.
